Rose Water Harvest in Kashan
May 20, 2014 , IRAN , ESFAHANHarvested Mohammadi roses seen during the process of making rose water in a small factory in Qamsar, Iran. Qamsar is the biggest center in the Middle East in production of rose water. Every year, the city of Kashan and its neighborhood districts are the host of hundreds of thousands of tourists during the festival of Gol-o-Golab (Rose and Rosewater), in which rosewater is extracted from the sweet-scented Mohammadi Rose. The Kaaba in Mecca is annually washed by Qamsar rose water.
