In Palangan Village near Kamyaran City, young men and women light torches on Nowruz (first day of spring) and walk on high and connected rooftops in the village in a ritualistic manner, finally lighting a grand pyre in the village center in celebration of Nowruz. Kamyaran is a city in and capital of Kamyaran County, Kurdistan Province, Iran.
