Since Urmia Lake dried up, the residents of the villages started to migrate to the city and the number of people living in the villages dropped dramatically. Eventually for the mini bus driver commuting between Urmia and the villages is not economic anymore. Urmia public transportation offers bus services on a route connecting the main villages. The bus services run a few times a day. Sometimes the villagers need to walk from their village for hours to get to the bus station on the due time. The bus stations are on the crossroad of Ghalghachi towards Gharadagh village and along the Coast of Urmia Lake.
