The people of Shiraz participate in the traditional "orange tree wedding" ceremony in nowruz. The story of the ceremony is about a woman who wants to cut down an orange tree which had no fruit. but neighbors try to dissuade her and celebrate a wedding ceremony for the orange tree, hoping that the next year the orange tree will become fruitful.
