Iranian women’s sitting volleyball team

Iranian women’s sitting volleyball team has been qualified for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games for the very first time, after reaching the final at the Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games.Iran has been pitted against powerhouse China, USA and Rwanda in Pool B. Eshrat Kordestani, member of women’s sitting volleyball team, will carry Iran’s flag at the Opening Ceremony of Rio 2016. “Mrs. Kordestani is a war wounded and has lost her right foot in Shalamcheh (Southern Iran) in 2002 when she was 19-year-old.
