Khalkhal County

Khalkhal County is a county in Ardabil Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Khalkhal. Most of Khalkhalis have Azeri origin. The county consists of three districts: the Central District, Khvor Rostam District, and Shahrud District. The county has three cities: Hashatjin, Kolowr, and Khalkhal. Majority of Khalkhal county are Azerbaijanis, but Tats are living in southern areas of county, especially in Shahrud District and Khvoresh Rostam District.
