Fruit Sale For Yalda
December 20, 2017 , IRAN , FARSWatermelon sale is seen before Yalda in the old district of Kazeroun in Shiraz, Fars Province, Iran. Yalda or Shab-e Chelleh is a persian festival celebrated on the longest and darkest night of the year. Yalda is winter solstice celebration. On this particular night people gather together and read Hafez poems. Watermelon and Pomegranate are two symbolic fruits of this night.
